In some workouts, exercises are color-coded to indicate how they should be performed.
A superset means you alternate between two exercises.
Perform Exercise 1
Then perform Exercise 2
Rest (if prescribed)
Repeat for the designated number of sets
Supersets always involve two exercises.
A circuit means you move sequentially through three or more exercises.
Perform Exercise 1
Then Exercise 2
Then Exercise 3 (and possibly more)
Rest after completing the full round
Repeat the circuit as prescribed
Circuits involve three or more exercises with little or no rest between movements.
